SOMEWHERE OUT THERE is confidently absurdist. It uses the surrealism and the darkness lying beneath a show like TWIN PEAKS and it merges this tone with tropes and storylines found in TOP OF THE LAKE and THE KILLING. It uses a FLEABAG type of bravado, to help the audience understand that these female victims have never been significant enough to have be given a substantial character or voice of their own. Until now.
